Zelophi helps families browse, learn, and grow online through their values by helping parents control what their children see on YouTube. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and what we do with it.
Zelophi is operated by Zelophi Limited,128 City Road, London, United Kingdom, EC1V 2NX ("Zelophi", "we", "us"). We are the data controller for the information described here. Contact us at team@zelophi.com.
This policy covers:
the Zelophi website and parent web app at zelophi.com
the Zelophi Chrome extension
emails we send you about your account
Last updated: October 2026.
We collect only what we need to create your account and protect the YouTube videos watched on the computer where Zelophi is installed.

What we collect
We use your information only to run and improve Zelophi's protection. We do not sell it, and we do not use it for advertising.
Purpose
Information used
The extension first checks a video on your computer. When it cannot decide, it sends the video's title, description, captions and sampled frames to our servers, where automated systems, including AI models, assess them against our safety standards. The result is a decision to allow or block the video. No person at Zelophi reviews the videos your family watches.
We use YouTube video information only to make that decision. We delete it once the check is done, we never use it to train AI models, and we never sell or share it. Automated checks are not perfect: Zelophi may occasionally miss content or block content that is fine.
Zelophi accounts are for parents and guardians aged 18 or over. Children do not create accounts and we do not ask for a child's name, age, photo or contact details.
The extension checks the YouTube videos watched on the protected computer, which may be watched by a child. We use that information only to protect them, as described above. The protection records a parent sees show which videos were blocked and why, not a full viewing history.
If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
We share information only with service providers who process it on our instructions and under contract. None of them may use it for their own purposes.
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access to our systems is limited to staff who need it. Secret keys are never stored in the extension.
Some providers process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on safeguards approved under UK law, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or the UK–US data bridge
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:
give you a copy of your information
correct it
delete it, including closing your account
restrict or object to how we use it
move it to another service
stop using it where you gave consent, such as for usage analytics
Email team@zelophi.com and we will respond within one month. Uninstalling the extension stops all checks on that computer immediately.
Zelophi's use of information received through the Chrome extension follows the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. We use this information only to provide the extension's protection. We do not sell it, transfer it for advertising, use it to decide creditworthiness, or allow people to read it except where needed for security, to comply with the law, or with your consent.
If we make significant changes, we will email you and update the date above before they take effect.
